Neighborhood

Palermo Soho is a sub-neighborhood of Palermo, one of the largest and most diverse areas in Buenos Aires. Palermo Soho is named after the Soho district of New York City, because of its similarity in terms of fashion, design, art, and cuisine. Palermo Soho is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike, who come to enjoy its colorful and creative atmosphere. Some of the highlights of Palermo Soho are: - Plaza Serrano: This is the heart of Palermo Soho, where you can find a variety of shops, bars, restaurants, and markets. On weekends, the plaza becomes a lively outdoor fair, where local artisans and designers sell their products. You can also enjoy live music, street performers, and a festive vibe. - Street Art: Palermo Soho is one of the best places to admire the street art in Buenos Aires. The walls of the buildings are covered with colorful and expressive murals, graffiti, and stencils, reflecting the artistic and social identity of the neighborhood. You can take a guided tour to learn more about the history and meaning of the street art, or simply wander around and discover it by yourself. -Gastronomy: Palermo Soho is a paradise for food lovers, as it offers a wide range of cuisines, from traditional Argentine to international fusion. You can find everything from steak houses, pizzerias, and empanadas, to sushi, Thai, and vegan options, as well as Italian food so good that you won't be able to eat anything else after trying it (the pasta namely). Some of the most recommended places to eat are La Cabrera, a classic parrilla with excellent meat and wine; Don Julio, the famous Michelin-star parrilla with a cozy and rustic ambiance. (although, the real treasure is Don Benito Soho. The Ojo De Bife, the Ribeye, melts on your tongue. The service is incredible, and the Tiramisu is illegally good. Still 1/3 the prices of big brother Don Julio) Sarkis, a Middle Eastern (Armenian) restaurant with generous portions and affordable prices; and La Mar, a Peruvian cevicheria with fresh and flavorful dishes. -Nightlife: Palermo Soho is also a great place to enjoy the nightlife in Buenos Aires, as it has many bars, pubs, and clubs to suit different tastes and moods. You can find everything from cozy and intimate speakeasies, to lively and crowded dance floors, to relaxed and chill beer gardens. Some of the most popular places to drink and dance are The Harrison Speakeasy, a hidden cocktail bar behind a sushi restaurant; Festival, a modern and trendy bar with a large terrace; BrukBar, a hip and fun club with a good mix of music; and Antares, a craft beer pub with a variety of flavors and styles.
